Gary Thomas Denham

Gary “Slim” Thomas Denham, a loving husband, dedicated father and Bawbaw to his grandchildren, son, brother, cousin ,uncle, nephew and friend went to his forever home on July 21st, 2026. Gary is survived by his loving wife of almost 25 years, Beckie Denham and his children, Kristen (Matt Walker-Warren) Statham, Erika (Dakota) Broome, Shelby (Alfred) Flores, B.B. (Candice) Statham, Kaleb (Alecia) Statham, and his precious baby girl, Kylee Denham. He was blessed with 12 grandbabies, who kept him busy riding in the woods or endless lawnmower and tractor rides, as well as playing with trucks, dress-up, tea parties and doctor. His grandchildren are Tyler Hale, Jenna Hamilton, Wyatt Walker-Warren, Tristen Statham, Bella Statham, Brody Broome, Mateo Flores, Lucy Flores, Addy Statham, Vada Statham, Emmy Statham, and Aurora Flores. Great niece and nephew, who he loved as his own Lilly and Ezra McElveen. He is also survived by his mom, Mary Denham, step dad, Charles Garrard and siblings Nickie (Glenn) Corbitt, Lisa (Scott) Pilkenton, Elizabeth Kerns and Ashley Garrard, Francie (Calvin) Hunnicutt and Johnny Hash. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey Denham and Brenda Garrard. Gary was a lifelong resident of Putnam County. He was employed with Piedmont Water for the past 9.5 years. Prior to that was employed with Russell Knowles and Moore LP Gas. Gary was the type of person, who was dedicated to his job and was a hard worker no matter what he was faced with. He loved watching and making memories with his family. He never missed an opportunity to make memories with the people he loved the most. Whether spending time outdoors, sharing stories and laughter, or simply enjoying the company of his children and grandchildren, those moments meant the world to him. His kindness, sense of humor, generous heart, or his unwavering love for his family will be remembered by everyone, who had the privilege of knowing him. He built a legacy he was proud of. Gary had a heart of gold and never hesitated to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He believed in the hard value of work, treating people with kindness, and putting his family above everything else. His quiet strength, gentle spirit, and genuine compassion touched many lives. Whether offering advice, sharing a laugh, or simply being there when someone needed him. Gary made those around him feel valued and loved. We will hold a celebration of life at 2pm on August 23rd at Talmo Farms. We would love for all to come and share memories with us. Talmo Farms is located at 188 Mcmillen Rd, Eatonton, GA 31024 If you would like to send flowers and by no means asking for any, we are planning on creating a memorial garden, so the grandkids and loved ones can have a place to sit and reflect on the memories with him, and would love flowers to be able to use in his garden.
