Peggy Chambers Allen Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mrs. Peggy Ann Chambers Allen, wife of the late Marion “Bud” Allen and daughter of the late J.T. and Jewell Chambers, passed away peacefully at her home on her birthday, March 12, 2022. She was born in 1949 in Donaldsonville , GA and attended Forest Park High School, where she graduated in 1967. She worked at Delta Air Lines, starting in the personnel department and retiring from the training center. She was married to the love of her life, affectionately called “Bud”, for 48 years until his death in 2021. They lived their retirement years in Eatonton and Greensboro, GA, on Lake Oconee. Peggy enjoyed living on Lake Oconee but her passion was golf. Joining her friends for bunco and square dancing were great times, but playing golf alongside Bud was her favorite. Her retirement years were made whole by spending time with her family which included countless grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Peggy was preceded in death by her husband and parents as well as her children, Jeffery Scott Allen and Leah Allen Wilson. Surviving are her siblings, Darrell Chambers (Dianne) of West Point GA, Susan Chambers Mayzes (Buddy, deceased) of Eatonton, GA. Daughter Dana Allen Gundlach (Sonny, deceased) of Greensboro, NC. Grandchildren Gans Wilson (Danielle) and Finley of Columbia, SC, Marion Z. Allen (Mary Wright) of Senoia, GA, Nick Gundlach of Greensboro, NC and Christian Gundlach of Charlotte, NC. Nieces and Nephews Cindi Chambers Hall (Brian) of Gainesville, GA, Jordan Hall of Cumming, GA, Michael Hall (Ella) of Gainesville, GA, Caroline Hall of Gainesville, GA, Amber Gray Jackson of Marietta, GA, Kaitlyn Hughes (Caleb) of Milledgeville, GA Carter Hughes of Milledgeville, GA, Sadie Kate Brown of Milledgeville, GA and Bellamy Hope Brown of Milledgeville, GA. A memorial service is planned to be held in Peggy’s honor at a later date. Williams Funeral Home of Eatonton has charge of arrangements.
