Frances “Cookie” Leigh Roberts passed away suddenly on November 19, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, creativity, and quiet brilliance that touched countless lives. Born on February 10, 1951, Cookie lived a life full of purpose and heart. Anyone who spent even a moment with her felt drawn in by her warmth. She had a way of making people feel seen, valued, and deeply cared for. She carried a gentle wisdom and a kind soul that noticed what others overlooked. Cookie never truly understood just how special she was or how profoundly she was loved. Cookie was extraordinary in every sense of the word. She was a visionary, deeply creative, and always thoughtful in everything she did. She graduated from Ketron High School, in Kingsport, TN where she was voted "Most Talented”, a title she lived up to every day. After graduating in 1970, she married her soulmate, Michael Roberts, and started her life-long adventure with him, residing in Europe and across the southeastern US. She was a published author, a florist, a seamstress, an artist, a baker, and a creator whose imagination had no limits. Whatever she created carried that unmistakable “Cookie touch”. She launched her real estate career in Tampa, Florida, where her real estate career was a testament to her belief in people. Her work became legendary. With home builders across South Atlanta and later as Vice President of Southside Sales for Torrey Homes, now DR Horton, she created unforgettable events and empowered her teams with confidence and purpose. She had a rare gift for seeing potential in others. She did not simply hire people; she changed the direction of their lives. Together with her devoted husband, Michael Roberts, they created HomePower Realty in Fayetteville, Georgia, a company built on her values of service, leadership, creativity, and empowerment. Through this work, she helped thousands of families achieve the dream of homeownership and brought together people of different ages, backgrounds, and experiences with a shared mission of lifting up their community. After retiring in 2008, Cookie never slowed down. She and Michael traveled, camped, and explored the world together, embracing adventure with joy. They finally settled down to living in Eatonton, Georgia on Lake Oconee, where she found that home was her favorite place to be. And in true Cookie fashion, she created yet another successful endeavor designing and selling beautifully embellished vintage Christmas sweaters. Even in retirement, her creativity outshined the ordinary. Cookie is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Michael Roberts, a beautiful marriage of 55 years. She is also survived by her children Albert Roberts, Andy Roberts and spouse Julie Roberts, and Amanda Roberts Cabe and spouse Michael Cabe. She leaves behind cherished grandchildren Andersen Crockett and spouse Truman Crockett, Brenden Cabe, Madison Roberts and spouse Michael Sims, Mallory Roberts, Daniel Roberts, and Kirk Roberts. She is also survived by her great grandchildren Eleanor "Nora" Jean Crockett, Michael Sims, and Malaya Sims. Her family and friends will forever remember her wit, her creativity, her laughter, and her fierce, unwavering love. Her influence will live on in the lives she touched and in the dreams, she helped others believe they could reach. Cookie lived fully, joyfully, and from the heart. She loved the Lord Jesus. She was a blessing, a privilege, and an honor to know, and she will be deeply missed. A Celebration of Life will be announced for a date in January 2026.
