Larry Gregory Manley Sr.

Mr. Larry Gregory Manley, Sr., age 91, passed away Sunday, June 23, 2024. Services will be held 4:00 PM Monday, July 1, 2024 in the Great Hall of Eatonton Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until the service time. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery. Mr. Manley was born on September 21, 1932 to the late Emory Van Manley and the late Dorothy Roberta Gregory Manley. He worked as an engineer for The Georgia Department of Transportation. He was very involved in his community. Mr. Manley served 38 years in the Army National Guard. He retired as an engineer with the Georgia Department of Transportation. Mr. Manley served 31 years as Putnam County Surveyor. He was a member of the JC’s, The Elks Lodge, VFW, a dedicated member of Alcoholics Anonymous, Sons of confederate Veterans, American Legion Post 6, and was instrumental in the ground breaking for Gatewood School. He was a member of Concord United Methodist church where he served as superintendent of Sunday school. Later in life he joined Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church and Bible Fellowship Church. He was preceded in death by a sister Dorothy Jane Manley Bonner Mr. Manley is survived by his wife of 69 years Veda Manley, his children Larry Gregory Manley, Jr (and wife Brenda), Robin Manley Rainey (and husband Bill), Emory Van Manley, II ( and wife Lisa), Leon Winfield Manley, II ( and wife Tammy),grandchildren, Madison Manley Fitzgerald ( and husband Adam), Larry Gregory Manley III (and wife Gloria)William Cooper Rainey, Jr. (and wife Marie), John McCarty Rainey ( and wife Libby), Charles Rossee Rainey (and wife Codee), Elise Rainey Collis ( and husband Preston), Emory Van Manley, III (and wife Sandra), Kiernan Manley Pinkerton (and husband Breck), Gavin Thomas Manley, Garrett Clements Manley (and wife Brittany), Ashley Manley Lewis (and husband Drew), Leon Winfield Manley, III (and wife Rachel), John Gregory Manley (and wife Renee’), Harley Ritch (and wife Taylor), great grandchildren Scarlett Iris Fitzgerald, Amelia Jane Fitzgerald, Greer Golden Manley, Margo Virginia Manley, William Cooper Rainey, III, Lilly Kent Rainey, Parker McCarty Rainey, James Aidan Rainey, Sadler Gage Rainey, Piper Rose Rainey, Cash Kennedy Dixon, Vaida McCoy Rainey, Beckham Rossee Rainey, Truett Allen Collis, Rainey Angeline Collis, Nicole Cañizalez, Nick Suarez, Wylder Manley Pinkerton, Breck Edward Pinkerton, Jr., Ferryn Meadows Pinkerton, Vyvian Moore Pinkerton, Garrett Clements Manley, Jr., Lynnie Mae Benton Manley, Dayton Jefferson Manley, Nolan Jax Lewis, Chloe Ritch, and sister Martha Jo Manley Adams Floral offerings may be sent to 841 Oconee Springs Rd. or memorial contributions may be given to Gatewood Schools, Alcoholics Anonymous, Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, or Bible Fellowship Church.
